Limerick on Politics and Religion in the Middle East
Roll for Analysis Instagram video transcription:
On Today’s roll for analysis,
The theory may cause anxiousness,
Regional actors,
West Asian factors,
And Poetry versus political-mental paralysis.
There once was a religion called Islam,
Shia and Sunni, neither is wrong,
But still they fight
To the citizen’s plight,
A divide, 14 centuries long.
The Revolutionary Guard Corps
In February faced uproar:
USA killed the Ayatollah
Thanks to inside CIA moles.. uh…
Trump’s demise was then called for.
So… In Structural Realism,
There’s some anarchic statism,
Not due to human nature,
Nor the written legislature,
But thanks to vacuums & pragmatism.
Iran’s sudden absence of authority
Lasted a week, their top priority.
The third leader supreme
Entered the regime
On day 8 of the war exactly.
Nearly half a year later,
With ceasefires on paper,
The conflict continues
Near the strait of Hormuz,
But it’s hard to see any peacemakers…
Aggression, Attacks, thousands dead
Under the Realist filter, that’s how you get ahead:
Missiles for offense,
Drones for defense,
But these seas have turned a different kind of red.
All the news reports are much too solemn,
Honestly, Religion shouldn’t even be a problem.
Money, tariffs, trade, and oil,
That’s what makes politicians’ blood boil,
In this story can we know yet if we’ve passed rock bottom?
This week, warnings were sent by the IRGC
Advising ships to turn back to the sea
Citing the Qur’an
Since the waters off Oman
Is now under the rule of Iran’s Khameini .
All this political and religious complexity
In the Middle East’s present and past history,
We try to understand
But still see it as an ‘other’ land,
That’s internationally labeled ‘semi-periphery’.
Supporting the west is considered a sin
The cooperation councils are wearing thin
International law
Is at a draw
Since the veto powers reside within…
In Structural Realism, you see
Vacuums of power is how it has to be,
Relations whether multipolar or bi
The spread of power is like a pie,
And it seems like the nations may never agree.
Other theories may say cooperation is key,
But that can’t be defined
With good faith in decline
And no overarching authority,
This Anarchy makes it quite hard to find
A coherent system for the people who just want to be free.
…
Thank you all for watching this
Poetic and Randomized analysis
In the bio there are links
That may help you think
Through this theoretical internationalist’s abyss.
(Description & Comment:)
Upping the chaos for the fun of the game,
The dice delivered immediately, I’m no longer sane.
With no AI,
To make me cry,
This episode was much a challenge for my brain.
This week is the funeral for the ayatollah’s death
While Mexico’s futbol skills are put to the test
…What a weird contrast
Only a day, won’t long last.
Especially today: Sports and Politics, neither will rest.
(Though a limerick classically
Has a format quite exactly
A A B B A
Syllables at bay,
English majors don’t come at me.)
…
The topics here are quite debatable,
Many actors could be blamable,
So here in the comments,
Please be kind, no nonsense.
Together we can find how this world is changeable.
